A New Journal

Hello lovely people!

I do have a new journal to show you, but first let me show you some of my paper bowls. I promised in my last post that I would. 🙂

I do have more of them, but they are not finished. These were the first that I painted and varnished, and they turned out great, but then I switched to another project so the rest was left to wait for me to play with them some other time.

But I did finish this journal.

I really love this journal. It is so wonderfully textured and industrial and rusty and just gorgeous! It has all kinds of papers inside, including my handmade paper, of course, and tags, pockets, booklets and tuck spots. You can find it in my Etsy store. 🙂

Have a great day/night everyone!

Good News and a Giveaway

Hello lovely people!

I have some great news to share with you – my Etsy shop is finally working again! I am slowly adding more things to it, but there are some lovely journals there already. You can take a look and tell me what you think. 🙂

So to celebrate that, I would like to give this lovely little journal to one of you!

It is a small journal, about 4,5 x 5,5 “, but it is quite fat and it has hard cover, very textural and lovely, and a lot of pages inside, as well as pockets and tuck spots. There is also a clay piece on the cover as a decoration and a focal point.

Do you like it? If you do, just leave me a comment and I will be back very soon (probably in about 5 days) to draw a winner. Also, if you wish you could leave a comment on my FB profile and that way you’re also in a game(although that will still count as one entry). 🙂

Good luck!

Hand Stitched

I bet many of you have the same “problem” as I do – I can’t even watch TV without doing something. I always have two baskets with me in the living room, one with ‘work in progress’ crochet, and one with yarn and crochet hooks. But I often bring more stuff, like thread and fabric scraps and beads, so it gets a bit messy. 🙂 And now it’s like a bomb site! But I have two books to show that it was worth it! 🙂

This one is about 6×9 inches, and it’s made with cotton fabric, silk, crocheted lace, pearls etc. And of course, my handmade paper.

And the back

I also made another twinchie book. Couldn’t throw away even the tiniest pieces of silk and lace, so I decided to make this:

Lovely little thing. 🙂 I sold quite a few of them, people seem to understand what they are, and that makes me happy.

I hope to finish another book over the weekend, a recycling project. There were too many papers in my craft room that I seemed to have no use for. Well, I do now! 🙂 It’s a great feeling to make something with unwanted things, or just junk. Which reminds me, I also have some envelopes from bills and stuff like that, and next time hopefully I will show you what I did with them. 🙂

Have fun! xo!

It’s been a while…But I just had so many things on my mind, and didn’t do much work lately. Except for journaling. I am getting more into this form of art and self expression, and find it really relaxing. What ever I feel, how ever I feel, it’s always nice to take some paint, paper, pencils and pens, and just play. No worries, no rules, just play. And even when I don’t intend to express a particular feeling, it’s therapeutic to throw anything on the page and not worry if it’s “ok” or not.

I have so many journals waiting for me to write in them, but I just can’t resist making new ones. It’s almost equally relaxing to make them as it is to work in them.

I made this little recycled one last evening:

It’s filled with all kinds of papers, from scrapbook papers to paper bags. I think I will use it to write down parts from the books I read that are worth coming back to from time to time. I’ve always done that, but never in a handmade journal, and now I have something for it, made by me. 🙂

I also recycled some kind of file folder that my husband brought from one of his business trips, and now I am adding to it all kinds of pages, with writing, photos, old bits and pieces that before were just tossed in a box.

Then there is another journal I made recently, which will probably go for sale or as a gift.

And some of my journal pages. I apologize for the ugly green parts, I had to hide some of my writing. 🙂

And that’s pretty much it.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Kiss! 🙂
