And The Winner Is…

Hi friends! I don’t want to keep you waiting anymore, so here is the winner of my giveaway!

V1 073

Congratulations Deb! Your prize will be on it’s way in a day or two. πŸ™‚

Thank you all for participating! I hope to have another giveaway soon. It’s so much fun!

I also want to share with you a new journal. Simple off white velvet covers, hand and machine stitched, with lace and a little bit of glittery fabric paint.

It has mixed papers inside, and it’s perfect for drawing, sketching, writing…

I didn’t add too much to the covers, this time I wanted a simple design. The velvet is so nice to touch that I couldn’t cover it too much. πŸ™‚

In this last photo you can see a little bit of that shimmer, although it’s so much more beautiful ‘in real life’.

Update on spring cleaning odyssey: we are finishing painting the walls, which means that my windows are still dirty, but we are slowly getting to where we want to be. It’s all upside down kind of work, we should have painted the walls first and then switched the rooms and then cleaned everything up, but since the studio walls don’t need to be painted, it’s ok. Now we have only living room to paint, then I have to clean the windows, and then I will be able to show you how it all looks. But I am so tired! Not that I work and clean all the time, I also make all kinds of things, but it’s non stop doing something! And today I had to keep it slow. I just couldn’t do anything anymore. But tomorrow is a new day and more work! πŸ™‚

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments. I love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day/night!

A Giveaway!

I have been busy lately making all kinds of things, including jewelry. It relaxes me, but it also makes more room for new beads in my bead boxes, LOL! In my next post I will show you new earrings and bracelets made for moi, but now I want to share with you a little summer set that I made for this giveaway.

A stretchy bracelet made with shell beads

And a pair of matching earrings (the left one looks more yellow than it actually is, don’t know why)

A set

And that is not all! I am also giving this journal I made some time ago. Your support means a lot to me, so I would like to send you my love with this journal.

If you’d like to win, all you have to do is leave a comment and I will pick a winner on Wednesday. πŸ™‚

Thank you for visiting my blog and for sharing this journey with me.

Beautiful Slovenia

I’m back! Home sweet home! It’s great to travel, but it’s always great to come home, right? I missed my studio and my hands became a bit restless. I need to make things, make art, bake and cook, and do all the things I love doing. Well, apart from ironing and vacuuming. I can live without that, no problem.:)

But what a wonderful vacation it was! Slovenia is a beautiful country! I enjoyed every minute there, but let me just show you the photos, you will see what I mean.

Gorgeous nature

Lakes and mountains, everything I love.

Lake Bled

It may be from the 7th Century, butΒ  jewelry is jewelry! πŸ™‚

Clothing now and then:

Oohhh, handmade paper, quill and ink. Paradise!

My favorite, Postojna Cave:

It was absolutely amazing! I was blown away by the beauty of the cave and by forces of nature that made it!

Ljubljana is a lovely town. I especially loved the old part.

My cousin gave me a huge bag full of books. There are nearly forty books there, ready to be altered! Pure joy!

It’s funny how people react when I tell them that I want their “trash”. Old doilies, buttons, ribbons, books, all kinds of things they wanted to throw out but felt bad about it. When they give those things to me, they feel better knowing they will be reused or recycled, and I feel great having more things to play with or to make art. So everybody’s happy. πŸ™‚

Hello everyone and Happy Holidays! I hope you are having a great time!

I wanted to share with you some of the things I made well, just for fun. πŸ™‚ I altered some puzzle pieces and made earrings out of them, and also used my handmade beads to make jewelry. So without too much talking, here they are! πŸ™‚

Thank you Rosemary

I have been nominated a Sunshine Award by Rosemary. Thank you so much! πŸ™‚

Rosemary has two very inspiring blogs:Β

andΒ Β  Photography, poetry, and so much more!

Rosemary wrote ten questions for her nominees to answer, and here they are:

1. What makes you laugh?

– My husband. πŸ™‚

2. What makes you cry?

– Sad movies.

3. What part of your art sends you into the β€˜creative zone’ the most?

– Playing with fiber and paper.

4. What is your favourite colour?

– Blue.

5. In a fantasy world, where would you like to live and what type of dwelling would you like to live in?

– In a magical forest on a mountain, in a house made of wood with a big tree in the middle.

6. What is your favourite tool of trade and why?

– My loom. Because we can make wonders together.

7. Would you like to travel to outer space…if so…why…if not…why?

– Yes. Because I’ve read too many SF books. πŸ™‚

8. If you could have any animal in the world as a pet what would you choose?

– A dog. A Labrador. They are the best dogs in the world. Oh, I have one! πŸ™‚

9. What season do you like the most. Do you have snow where you live?

– We do have snow here in Serbia, but my favorite season is Spring because I like the rebirth of Nature, the explosion of life.

10. Why did you start a blog?

– I’ve learned so much from so many inspiring people on the Internet, so I wanted to share what I know and what I do and maybe contribute to the Artsy/ Crafty community. πŸ™‚

Thank you Rosemary once again, I really appreciate this award!

Oh I love Saturdays! The best day of the week! πŸ™‚

The weather is finally gorgeous again, after days and days of rain, so my husband and I had a lovely walk. Together. No stress. No hurry.
